Note the shifting perspective in the way these buildings are presented, with the top of each building rotating. The curved archways reflect European architectural influences. The one building at the top, which shows obvious cut-stone blocks or adobe bricks and a large lintel, is the one that appears more clearly to have pre-Columbian origins or was built in a pre-Columbian style. The varying size and location of the buildings, with spaces in the middle for outdoor activities, is also a pre-Columbian household pattern. We see at least two shades of red painting on the building exteriors, which was a typical feature of both pre-Hispanic buildings and sixteenth-century colonial buildings. [SW]
