This page is back side of the sixth folio of sixteen folios (also Book IV, folio 6 verso). A full page of text, no images, this is the final full page of the principal text of this manuscript. This page tells us the citizens are to keep this “altepetl paper” and no one is to contradict what it says. The order should be kept carefully and not messed up. It was written by a notary named don Andrés (the second part of his name illegible). [SW]

Esta página es la carta posterior del sexto de dieciséis folios. Una página entera de texto, sin imágenes, es la última página completa del texto principal de este manuscrito. Nos cuenta que los ciudadanos deberán conservar este documento del altepetl, y nadie podrá contradecir su contenido. El órden sebe ser mantenido cuidadosamente. Está escrito por un notario llamado don Andrés (la segunda parte de su nombre es ilegible).

[IV, f. 6v.] ... nuestro gran soberano. Aquí establecemos, escribimos este documento del pueblo. Eternamente [los ciudadanos del pueblo] tienen que guardarlo, tienen que cuidarlo. Nadie debe .... nuestro [documento?]. Nuestro mandamiento se guadará. [Nadie] debe hacerlo daño. Desgraciable de mi, don Andrés .... Lo escribí bajo la orden de los nobles.

English Translation

[IV, f. 6v.] ...our great ruler. Here we set down, we write this altepetl paper. Eternally [the citizens of the altepetl?] are to keep it, they are to see to it. No one is to ........ What we have issued, what we have ordered will be observed. It is never to be violated. Wretched me, don Andrés.... I wrote it at the order of the nobles.
