This page, which is the back side of the thirteenth folio of sixteen folios (also Book VII, folio 1 verso), shows representations of possible historical personages of late pre-contact Santa María Iztacapan (modern State of Hidalgo, Mexico).
Four human figures appear in this scene, with no glosses to identify them. They are all standing, wearing only animal-hide skirt-like garments and sandals (although it is difficult to determine what the one figure, obscured by the others and standing toward the back of the group, is wearing). The garments appear to be made from animal pelts. The figure in the middle may have a skirt of fur. The skirts on the right and the left have spotted pelts, possibly from jaguars. They are all outlined in black ink. The skirt on the left has a red or orange wash, now somewhat faded. The others may also have had some kind of gray wash, now barely visible.
The two figures on the left both have shoulder-length hair, beards, and mustaches. The one on the far left appears to be male, given the appearance of his bare-breasted chest. The two figures on the right appear to be women, given the appearance of their bare-breasted chests, rounded and fuller appearing than the male's. Their hair may be slightly longer, too. These "women" do seem to have the suggestion of facial hair, although they do not have beards.
The men and women alike appear to wear sandals, with a gray wash, much faded.
These figures carry bows and arrows in their hands. The figures on the far right and left appear to have quivers on their backs, filled with more arrows. [SW]

Esta página, la cora posterior del decimotercero de dieciséis folios (también Libro VII, folio 1 recto), es la típica página cargada de imágenes que presenta paisajes incluídos en los reclamos territoriales de Santa María de Iztacapan (estado moderno de Hidalgo, México) del período colonial tardío.
En la escena aparecen cuatro figuras humanas. No hay referencias para indentificarlos. Están todos de pie, vistiendo pieles animales en forma de faldas y sandalias (aunque resulta dificil determinar que está vistiendo la figura que aparece detras de las otras tres). La figura del medio viste una falda con un pelaje largo, mientas que las de los costados tienen pieles con manchas, posiblemente de jaguares. Están todos delineados en tinta negra. La falda del del de la izquierda está coloreada en naranja o rojo, aunque el color está algo descolorido. Las otras pieles también pueden haber sido coloreadas en gris, aunque el paso del tiempo dificulta su apreciación.
Las dos figuras de la izquierda llevan el pelo a los hombros, poseen barbas y bigotes. La figura de la izquierda aparenta ser un hombre dada la falta de senos en el pecho. Las figuras a la derecha aparentan ser mujeres, dada la existencia de senos redondeados en el pecho descubierto. Su pelo podría ser más largo también. Estas mujeres parecerían tener bello facial, aunque no presentan barba.
Ambos hombres y mujeres parecen vestir sandalias, pintadas en un gris descolorido.
Estas figuras cargan arcos y flechas en sus manos. Las figuras de la derecha e izquierda parecen llevar aljabas en la espalda, cargadas con más flechas.
