This page, which is the front face of the fifteenth folio of sixteen folios (or Book VII, folio 3 recto), is typical of the image-heavy pages that feature landscapes included in these territorial claims of Santa María Iztacapan (modern State of Hidalgo, Mexico) late in the Spanish colonial period.
This scene shows four tall trees on fairly level ground, a blue river outlined in black and bending through the scene between the trees, and some text running across the bottom of the page. The trees are outlined in black and washed with a green watercolor. The trees are tall and narrow, and all appear to be of the same type, similar to those of Book VII, folio 2v. The roots are visible above the ground in three cases. [SW]

Esta página, la carátula del decimoquinto de dieciséis folios (también Libro VII, folio 2 recto), es la típica página cargada de imágenes que presenta paisajes incluídos en los reclamos territoriales de Santa María de Iztacapan (estado moderno de Hidalgo, México) a finales del período colonial español.
La escena muestra cuatro árboles altos en una superficie plana, un río azul delineado en negro que se curva entre los árboles, y texto en la parte inferior de la página. Los árboles están delineados en negro y pintados con acuarelas en verde. Los árboles son altos y angostos, y todos aparantan ser de la misma especie, similares a los del libro VII, folio 2v. Las raíces son visibles por encima de la tierra en algunos casos.
