Spaniard on horseback

In this detail we see men who were a part of the conquering expedition of Hernando Cortés. One is on horseback, and the man behind him is on foot. It is interesting how the indigenous artist gives great attention to the details of the horse and the men’s clothing and weapons. The clothing is quite colorful, as the man on the horse h as turquoise-colored pants, a green tunic/jacket, and a red hat. [SW]
