Tilantongo, Dynasty I, Generation 1

This couple, seated on the royal mat, is the first depicted ruling couple of Tilantongo. They lived in the second half of the 11th century. However, other documents depict even earlier rulers, though probably mostly legendary and mythical. According to the Codex Bodley (p. 5 and 6; v, iv and iii) this couple was the fourth generation of Tilantongo rulers.

Esta pareja, sentada en el petate real, es la primera pareja gobernante de Tilantongo representada. Ellos vivieron en la segunda mitad del siglo XI. Sin embargo, en otros documentos aparecen gobernantes aún más tempranos, aunque más bien legendaricos y míticos.
