stone pile at Chichiltepec
This slice shows an artificial stone hill, possibly a boundary marker or a pre-Columbian pyramid. It is outlined in black ink, dotted with black ink (to represent stones, presumably), and painted brown.
The paleography is "hihiltictepetli." With a more standard orthography, this would read "Chichiltictepetl." Translation: "Chili-Red Hill."
There exists still today in the vicinity a hill that local people recognize with the name Chiltepec. It is part of a rancho, owned privately. The owner has not yet been contacted to inquire about a possible pyramid on the site. (Private communication, Moisés Santillán Zerón.)

La paleografía es “hihiltictepetli.” En una ortografía común, es leído “Chichiltictepetl.” La traducción es “Colina rojo-chile.”
Todavía hoy existe una colina en los alrededores a la que los locales reconocen por el nombre de Chiltepéc. Está dentro de un rancho de propiedad privada. El dueño no ha sido contacatado todavía para averiguar si hay una pirámide en su propiedad (comunicación privada con Moisés Santillán Zerón).
