f. 3v., paper peeled back to expose papal bull
This photograph shows how a European papal bull has been pasted to the fig bark paper (folio 3 verso). It is pulled back part of the way in this photo. The ink from the bull has bled somewhat onto the fig bark paper beneath it, probably as a result of the wetness of the glue. The back of the bull must have been blank, and it must have been more appealing for the text, since it is smoother than the fig bark paper.

Esta fotografía muestra como una santa bula papal Europea ha sido pegada al papel de amate (folio 3 verso). Ha sido jalada parte de la hoja en esta foto. La tinta de la santa bula ha sangrado en el papel de amate de abajo, probablemente fue el resultado de la mojades del pegamento. La parte de atras de la santa bula debio haber estado en blanco, y debio haber sido más atractivo para el texto, ya que es más suave que el papel de amate.
