This figure represents ”yaxix[…]” (Mixtec personal, calendrical name, reading “Lord 10/11/13 Eagle”, according to Rodríguez Cano 2015: 101). This is the individual that has arrived from Tollan/Ñu Yoo. Note that he is depicted as a Aztec noble, and not a Mixtec, suggesting that the scribe who painted and wrote the Mapa de Xochitepec was trained in central Mexican Nahua conventions of visual communication.
