This gloss is difficult to read, but it appears to say “Milpan La Asunción.” The first part of the road, nearer Xochimilco, says “Camino de.” So we know this is a road. There is still an Asunción neighborhood in the municipality of Xochimilco today. Milpa Alta is also a nearby community. So, this may represent the road between the two settlements. [SW]
