Tetepanco

Tetepanco

This place glyph is glossed, “Tetepanco, Wal of many slopes.” In Nahuatl, tepantli means wall. The reduplicative element at the beginning may be where Gemelli gets the plural. The -co is a locative. The pictorial elements include what appears to be a wall of bricks (perhaps adobe bricks) of alternating colors. We also see a flag (pantli in Nahuatl) and a numerical element of 5 dots. [SW]
