This scene on folio 17 recto shows a large nopalli plant and a tree. The text indicates that the place here is called Nopalan. A count of three tzontli (3 x 400, for a total of 1,200) is indicated, along with the word “tlatlatamachihuali” (something weighed). This is an unusual measurement for the Techialoyan manuscript genre. It does appear to refer to the land here, which is said to be the property of the people of the altepetl. [SW]
