This detail shows a bush or tree outlined in black ink. Its roots are visible above the ground, and they are painted a gray, the same as the trunk. The foliage at the top of the tree is stippled with black ink and washed in green watercolor. The ground upon which the tree grows is a golden brown. [SW]
